The RDX60 was billed as MG Rover's 'Last Chance Saloon' and proved to be a promising concept...

Taking the Rover 75's fundamentally excellent platform and developing a mid-sized hatchback from it seemed like an inspired plan, but in the end, MG Rover ran out of time and money, and the project was never allowed to reach fruition.

For the first time, we recount the story of this car's development, by piecing together what little we know about the project, after speaking to engineers who worked close to the project.
