All the cars featured here have one thing in common: fluid suspension; most of them were also designed by Alec Issigonis.
Austin 3-litres
This is absolutely Alexander's pride and joy: his magnificent left-hand drive Austin 3-litre.
Here seen at the start of the cavalcade of Austin cars to the Longbridge centenary event (picture: Jonathan Sellars).
.... and here's his other one!
1800
...and if you own a 3-litre, you really should get hold of a copy of its smaller brother, the "Land Crab"! You can find out more about the 1800 of Alexander's father here.
This is Alexander's own Landcrab, currently being rebuild after a long, idle time in the garage.
Maxis
...and if you own a "Land Crab", you should get a copy (or maybe two) of its smaller brother, the Maxi! (note the Crayford MG convertible parked next to it).
1300s
Alexander's father keeps two ADO 16s running. This immaculate MkII Austin ADO16 looks good in the early evening sun...
Another ADO16: This time, the attractive and very elegant Vanden Plas Princess, in a nice, dark colour - Wild Moss.
So extensive is Alexander's collection that (some of) it was featured in Auto Bild magazine.
